Co-parenting information,
minus the friction

pAIrent is a co-parenting information-sharing system. Both homes enter updates through one simple form. The system rewrites everything to be neutral and child-focused, then sends everyone the same clear report. Less arguing about tone, more time solving the actual problem.

Nine months live in production
The problem it solves

Two homes, one child, and a hundred small updates

When a child lives across two homes, the hard part is rarely the big decisions. It is the steady stream of small things: a cough that needs medicine before bedtime, a form due Friday, a change to Saturday's pickup. Each one has to travel from one parent to the other, and the way it is worded can turn a simple handover into an argument.

pAIrent takes the wording out of the fight. Everyone writes to the same form in their own words. The system does the diplomacy, and the child stays at the centre of every message.

The app

One form does all the intake

No accounts to install, no app to download. Whoever has an update opens the form, picks a few options and writes a line or two. Everything after that is automatic. Here is exactly what a parent sees, mid-entry:

He’s been a great sport about the medicine, no fuss at all.

A live snapshot of the intake form, mid-entry. Names are generic placeholders.

Choose who hears it

Everyone, or just specific people. Picking “Specific” reveals the recipient list, so a note for the nanny never has to go to the whole family.

Two fields do the routing

“Timing” decides how urgently it goes out; “Context Tracking” decides whether it is a one-off, ongoing, or needs a follow-up.

Twelve tidy categories

Every update is filed under a scenario, so months of scattered messages become a searchable, organised record.

The clever part

Say it however you like. Everyone gets it kindly.

A tired parent at 10pm does not write diplomatically, and they should not have to. pAIrent reads the raw entry and composes a calm, neutral, child-focused version. That is what lands in the other home.

What a parent types

“AGAIN he’s coughing and nobody told me. Please ACTUALLY give him the syrup this time, 5ml twice a day, don’t just forget like last time.”

What everyone receives

“Update on Child 1: a mild cough started Tuesday. He’s on prescribed syrup, 5ml twice daily, with the next dose due at 8pm before transition. Let’s continue through Friday and check with the doctor if it hasn’t cleared.”

Illustrative example. The system keeps every fact and drops the friction.

How it works

One form in. The right message out, at the right time.

Step 1

A parent submits

An update goes in through the form, in plain words, from either home.

Step 2

The system composes

It rewrites the note to be neutral and child-focused, then routes it by the timing you chose.

Step 3

Everyone gets the same

Both homes receive one identical, clear message, by email and a phone notification.

Beyond the instant alerts, pAIrent quietly keeps a rhythm of summaries, so nothing important gets lost in the noise of a busy week:

Immediate

Urgent items go out the moment they’re submitted.

Daily

A tidy digest of the day’s smaller updates each evening.

Weekly

A transition report: what’s coming, grouped and calendar-aware.

Monthly

The bigger picture, so patterns are easy to see over time.

What’s inside

Built to run untouched, for real families

Neutral, child-focused tone

Every message is rewritten so the child stays at the centre and the temperature stays low.

Timing that triages

Immediate, before next contact, before transition, or for reference. The system decides how loudly to speak.

Context that persists

Mark an update as one-off, ongoing, or needing follow-up, so open loops don’t quietly disappear.

More than two people

Parents, a nanny, a grandparent, an attorney. Each has their own contact, and updates route to exactly who needs them.

Works through email

Nothing to install. Reports arrive as email plus a phone notification, on devices everyone already has.

The family owns the data

It runs on the family’s own workspace, with no third party in the middle. Litigation-adjacent data stays private.

Twelve categories keep months of updates organised and searchable:

This is the kind of system 2xtwo builds

pAIrent started as a tool I needed for my own family, and ran for nine months without a hitch. If there is a repetitive, high-friction corner of your work or home life that a quiet system could carry, that is exactly what I do.
